The Regenerative Power of Time "In The Quiet"

Have you ever noticed how plants grow, so automatically, in the quiet? It’s like magic! they’re one size one day, and, voila, in next to know time, change has taken place! With nourishment and nurturance, they have quietly become more!

I have never forgotten the first time I got my hair permed as a little girl. I went to sleep, and when my mother woke me to check on my hair, there were curls! There was no effort, beyond the basics of doing the job to care for plants, or doing the work to perm my hair! Once the ground work was laid, the way was open for the transformation to take place, in the quiet! I remember learning as a frustrated teenager, that life had a funny sense of humor, bringing me what I wanted when I wasn’t pushing so hard. Often it’s in the mere allowing, getting out of the way, so that the good has the room to take place once we’ve set our intent.

Tuesday has become known to some as “In The Quiet Day!” Just this morning someone told me she listened to it last night to help her unwind from anxiety. I hear these stories every week.
