Hi There!
The podcast is now uploaded, the interview I did with friend and wonderfully
talented singer, Meka White! Meka has sung in a number of competitions,
shows and church settings. I recently heard her just a few weeks ago and
wow, I've been moved by her talent. She just came in second in a Karaoke
competition for the state of Wa., and, with our help, she's planning to
compete in the regional competition in Albuquerque, New Mexico next weekend.
If you are in a position to help, please make a Pay Pal contribution,
sending it to her friend Cindy, who is collecting and managing the fund.
Cindy.vw@msn.com
If Meka wins the regional, she'll go on for national, then on to Russia for
the World championship. Many of us who have heard her see her winning all
the way with her wonderful talent!
I did an interview and apologize for the sound quality. I'm not the sound
engineer around here.
You can also hear Meka White on Youtube
http://youtube.com/mektastic
And get the podcast here

I already know that some listeners found this both inspiring and helpful!
So I hope you enjoy it as much as I did doing it! I can't wait to watch
Meka's success continue to blossom!

Wow! I don't know where the time goes! It's almost the end of a very fast
week, almost the end of yet another very fast month..., more than half way
through, dare I repeat myself? - another very fast year!
So here are some pieces of what I've been thinking about
I had company the last two weeks, a dear friend, Miss Desmond! We hadn't
seen each other in three years, yet it amazes me how the connection is
always instantaneous. I look back, and wish I'd previously known so many of
the things I've come to realize:
- How important and worthwhile it is to talk about so many things early
on.
- How often what I, or someone else gives as a reason for changing a
relationships style or pattern is just a front runner, and maybe not the
whole picture.
- The importance of space, space for each person, space between events
and reaction, space between breaths!...
Des reads some beautiful prayers early each morning. One morning she read
something about "Practicing the Presence" that really caught my attention in
a very different way.
And so my mind went:
"What if...?" "Consider "as if"..." The Presence Is Here, every given
moment, with every breath! Well, yes, I know this. I often feel it, the
energy. I often consider the allness of God, Source Energy, within every
particle, every cell, every breath. But on this particular morning, I got
it differently. The angels, spirit guides, the very presence of allness
consciousness, right with my every thought, feeling, action and experience!
What is not to behold? How can I not be in awe, appreciating with utmost
humility?
And yet, most of the time, we get so caught up in so much minutia of the
human experience. This little thing or that other silly situation... And
yet in the grand scheme, it comes down to being so unimportant!
What if you were to find out that this time we call life experience is just
a parenthetical moment in the big picture, and that this human experience is
just a camping trip for a whole lot of learning?
What would you change? What would you be able to forgive? What or who
would you embrace differently?

Oh my goodness! Once again, I apologize! I see this second part of this
wonderful show didn't get posted here!

I need an angel or an elf to help with all of the detail work there is to do
around here! :)
This show was aired first on ACB Radio Mainstream.

I've been realizing the importance of changing the filenames here to show
the name of the show, person or topic. They will gradually be changed to
reflect this.
In this second part, Dr. Tom Hudson spoke more about his growing work with
mind/body medicine. His soon-to-be-released book "Journey To Hope" is a
work to blend the wisdom and knowledge of a traditional medical approach
along with a look at spiritual and emotional aspects that may go a long way
to influence well-being.
You can find out more about the book and a wealth of great information at
Dr. Hudson's excellent website.
http://www.yourjourneytohope.com
Stay tuned to more of Dr. Hudson's work. I think his work will go a long
way to influence the future of healthcare.

Hazelton Show
Hi There!
My guest tonight and for the next week is a fascinating person, Dr. Tom
Hudson, radiologist and author. You may remember him awhile back on a show
I did about medical intuition. Medical doctor practicing for many years,
he's gradually moved into some of the areas we typically refer to as
"alternative" to our U.s. health care system. He's actually a wonderful
bridge, offering wisdom apart from dogma and new hope for preventing
breast cancer and strengthening our immune system. There is much
information on dealing with the fear, the importance of self care, finding
spirituality and more.
You can sign up to receive info when his book is released, likely this fall.
There's much information on his very fine website
http://www.yourjourneytohope.com
The show first airs this evening in the U.s. on ACB Radio Mainstream
http://www.acbradio.org/mainstream at 9:00 p.m. EDT.
Use the ACB Radio Tuner to connect to the stream, or choose your player and
connect.
Check the schedule page for the time it will air in your particular time
zone and for when it will replay.
http://www.acbradio.org/mainstream/sche dule
It will soon also be available on my website as a podcast.
http://www.debbiehazelton.com/podca sts/debbie_hazelton_show43.mp3
I feel very strongly that Dr. Hudson's work offers a wonderful picture of
health care as we move into the future! Chec it out!!! I think you'll be
glad you did!

I'm so excited! I just learned how to post via Twitter and Facebook! Yay!
So yesterday I was helping a friend with some frustrations and hurt between
she and her business partner. It occurred to me that each was operating
under different expectations, and guided by each, a different TV screen.
This proved to be quite helpful, and so I'm sharing it here.
On one's TV screen was BUSINESS, and under that, all of what goes into the
balance of a partnership and keeping a business working.
On the other was a lot about being MOTHER, and working to juggle being mom
and in business, but motherhood comes first.
If those TV screens aren't understood, are not shared, there in lies
confusion and hurt feelings.
It happens to all of us. We all have our TV screen. We all have
expectations. It's not bad, it just is. And why wouldn't it be?
The problem comes in, when we assume that what's on our screen
is what is on or should be on everyone else's screen.
and become judgmental when our screens are not the same.
We all have our priorities, a background of rich history, whatever it may
be. That background contributes to our current choices. We have our
"Favorites Menu based on all of this. Doing the work to share and hear
makes it possible to work and be together in ways that enrich and enliven
us.
I challenge you! How Many TV shows or life experiences have you come to add
to your own list of favorites by becoming more acquainted with someone
else's screen? How can someone else better understand you by knowing what's
on your screen?

What can we learn from couples and friends, who have shared their thoughts
and insights on what it takes to improve relationships? Where do we start
to feel connected? Where do we get stuck? What can we do to help and feed
our relationships so they grow and nourish us and we nourish them?
Sexologist and friend Dr. Marilyn Volker and myself did this segment a
couple of years ago, and it was first aired on the ACB Radio Mainstream show
"The Relationship Connection." Now, I've edited and added more comments.

As I grow older, I both recognize and hear from others, that we really are
not alone, and we really are ok. In fact, we're so magnificent just by
being, and this really is important! I see so many suffering with those
demons. I can remember struggling so much, thinking "Oh but, I've got this,
or done that...", as if any of us are alone. But we're not. Living in a
spiritual universe, governed by spiritual law; Even when we think someone or
something else has given the bottom line, it's not! The hook is, not to
believe, not to short circuit ourselves into believing all of that
negativity. It's everywhere, out there socially, common chit chat, on the
news..., you know, the nay sayers! Very sad actually. So the trick is to
not get swallowed up, to not sell ourselves short in believing those
negative thoughts. People often are afraid to face a situation because they
fear they will find out they did something, therefore they fear they are
that something. Or, if they did something in a relationship, they are
unworthy. We all make mis-takes. We all go through stuff. We have so much
in common. It's really quite amazing!
